Calm. Rational... mostly. Not easily disturbed, but can be irritable when tired. Goal-oriented. Pragmatic. Curious. Eccentric. Artsy. Tunnel-visioned, prone to overfocusing on things. Completionist. Not a risk-taker.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Tatsuyuki is a registered nurse (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). He really picked the degree for future stable (but stale) job prospects if other opportunities fell through, having pragmatically decided that with Japan's steadily aging demographic, hospital nurses will almost never stop being necessary.
He no longer works as a nurse due to finding a better option, though would come back to working grueling thankless ER shifts in a jiffy if even the slightest danger of ending up jobless showed up.
Tatsuyuki is an albino, with all the side-effects thereof. He overdresses for just about any weather, constantly wears sunglasses outside, and typically prefers having his windows curtained. Due to having to commute to work previously, he preferred working at night, but his current location in relation to his current workplace allows him a bit more freedom.
He wishes he could get a tan. He thinks he'd look a fair bit more attractive that way. He describes his current state as "resembling a skinned zombie frog". Most people would beg to differ.
He is also a potter, from a family of potters. The tradition started on his mother's side, going way back. His mother, maternal grandfather, and sister are also all potters, though his sister is the real "heir" to the family craft. Mostly because she's not as ambitious, and more willing to sacrifice career opportunities for hobbies and live home - they're about equally good at what they do, but Tatsuyuki wanted to move out of the family home on a permanent basis, eventually, and she didn't. Even still, he successfully sells his crafts often, both receiving customers for his ready-made wares, and people who want him to make something personalized.
His father is a site designer/coder/maintainer. The paternal side of Tatsuyuki's family doesn't really have any notable roots or hereditary businesses or crafts, to anybody's knowledge.
He likes to collect hairpins, and, to a lesser extent, hair ties and larger hair clips. He intentionally keeps his hair long. He likes it that way and it gives him a reason to wear hair accessories.
Tatsuyuki used to live in his family home, with his parents and sister. He has an awful rich boy boyfriend, and currently lives with him in his awful rich boy apartment, where they grow things in a planter on the balcony.

PAST EVENTS
Tatsuyuki was born to the sacred union of a nerd and a tomboy, where his dad went into IT and his mom wore the pants in the marriage before they even got married. He was named Tatsuyuki because he was slated to be born in winter, not because of his condition, contrary to some people's expectations.
His years up until he went to school were mostly full of him growing up to cope with being an albino and not being able to just take his hat off outside when it got too stuffy, and his parents learning to cope with their child being an albino, and trips to the beach being largely no bueno. Well, his mother wanted beach trips, anyway - his dad tended to use him as an excuse not to go out.
Once he went to school - maybe even before that - he drew a whole lot of attention from other children. His looks were exotic, unusual even compared to the few children of immigrants and hafus studying in the same school. But that was still innocent - a bit of teasing, a bit of pity when they learned of all the associated difficulties, hushed whispers and people trying to be friends with the cool albino boy. All of that got worse when the dreaded beast of Puberty approached his class.
Suddenly, people were interested in him in entirely different ways. Suddenly, people thought he wasn't just cute, or cool, or "new" - people thought he was attractive. And so, a good part of his teenage years was spent smacking away people who he thought only tried to hang out with him or pursue him romantically because of his condition. He did have a few friends, but nothing more than that. He only hung out with people who didn't (obviously) gun for his heart and other parts of his body.
It only got worse when the somewhat delayed growth spurt also made him unusually tall for a Japanese man.
Either way, he ended high school without having had as much as a single date, and went on to study to be a nurse due to the perceived steady employment prospects, despite it being a dead-end job with no career growth. It was entirely his own decision - his parents advised him to do different things.
He ended up picking up R:Fusion not too long after he graduated and got his first proper job, after the same sights and experiences of the long night-shift slog got too samey and boring for his taste and he started losing inspiration.
