Cracks began to riddle the barrier, interweaving in deadly patterns across its translucent, multi-colored surface. If there was one thing Wryneck could spare on the disappointing human race, was credit to how they are able to transfer their annoyingly insufferable persistence to the toys they keep building. As if their will had possessed their contraptions and it took that much more time to waste on breaking it.
Speaking of breaking wills...
A bright light flashed to his side before it suddenly struck his side, exploding upon impact. The light elemental magic had parted the shadows that converged on Wryneck for several seconds, but the thick skin of shades regenerating itself not a moment after, leaving a long nick where Icarus' attack had struck. Black miasma oozed from the thin wound.
-WRYNECK: So humans can wield light magic now?
The distaste was evident as he glanced over the cut. To think he had chosen to be benevolent, for once, and ignore their existence, yet here they were very much begging for their demise.
His hand shot up right before Snow's sword met with its intended target, deftly catching the steel of the blade between his fingers. He brought his other hand to brush back his hair in exasperation, sighing.
-WRYNECK: No. I AM a benevolent God. I shall comply to your wishes and bring you all a slow death.
The hand holding Snow's sword suddenly bubbled and morphed, melting into something like tar, before expanding and rushing at the beastman as if to engulf him with its liquid darkness. Wryneck did not need to split his attention to direct the different activities of his body parts. While his left arm chased the beastman, his right was directed at Icarus, who floated in the air.
A smile splayed his features.
-WRYNECK: Dark Spear.
Darkness swirled into the palm of his hands, as if getting ready to be fired, but instead of shooting off, it simply vanished.
Seconds later, the darkness that he had concentrated writhed and burst from within Icarus' chest, long spikes protruding from his back an his entire right side and shoulder.
critical hit![Icarus - 8050hp!]
The shadows from Icarus' wound crept along his skin, rushing to his eyes until they become pitch black. He could no longer see.
[Icarus is inflicted with blind!]
[Icarus is inflicted with bleed!]
-WRYNECK: You are in my domain. There is no place my darkness cannot reach.
He smiled smugly. Now...There was only one human left...But Wryneck watched with confusion as the remaining human aided in his endeavor to destroy the canon's shield. This actually slowed down the speed of the drills, as his focus was diverted on figuring out this human's intent.

Aurora rolled her face to the side like dead weight. It was the best she could do...She could no longer see. She could no longer speak. Powerful words pressed down on her chest, stealing the air, the...love...from her body until it had ceased to care about living all together. Still, it's not like she could die. Human's definition of 'death' did not apply to a being such as her. She was merely a substance, living matter that gushed from the core of things. The understanding of things. The humans did not understand and she wished to love them more for it. Guide their confused hearts.
Somewhere in the distance she heard the sound of battle, but it did not matter to her. Nothing seemed to tear a reaction from her anymore. Until
that.
A presence. Strong-willed but gentle. Even obstructed by the darkness that devoured the air around the area, its warm glow still reached her.
Ahh....I know you. Her mind exclaimed with a small burst of emotion, almost overcome by this small shred of recognition.
Come. Come here... Her arms shifted, unable to lift the immeasurable weight of the magical shackles the clung to them. They moved until they would stretch above her head, almost reaching the tip of the shelf.
The presence seemed wary at first, but evidently came closer. It passed through Wryneck's dimensional box like water, taking the shape of a bright ball of light. However, in the eyes of Aurora this light was a person. A smile finally faded into her pale features. Painfully, she pushed upward and held her upper body from the altar. A blanched hand extended toward the person, whom was almost upon her.
We finally meet. Were her last thoughts before she gave in, her body slowly being replaced...
