//HOW_TO_POST_AN_AREA_THREAD
To transport to an area within "The World", a series of three keywords must be entered into the Chaos Gate coordinates. The combinations for these keywords are what result in fields/dungeons and determine such parameters as their difficulty, terrain, and weather, among other habitats.
In .hack//Infinity, players are able to make their own area by starting a thread in the level sub-boards of the desired server. Which sub-board your area belongs to will depend on what difficulty levelyou want to give it. Here are some guidelines that will help you make your thread faster:
* When making a thread in a Root Town's sub-board, your thread title can be anything you want it to be. The description is already set up in that board, so you don't have to describe it again.
Some general areas have already been provided within each server for players to post in, which are those put up by the CC Corp account. Use them as an example on how to set up your own area. To enter one of these CC Corp-generated areas, simply post in that thread and your character will be considered to have "gated in"(or you may specify that your character was already previously inside). As stated in the Rules/Guidelines, there are no private threads. As such, you can invade anyone's thread just as much as anyone can invade yours, but I advise you to consider the mood when invading an area with many players already in it though.
If a thread has the tag [Dungeon] in the title, it likely means that an Admin or another player(with granted permission) is hosting a dungeon. For more information on Admin/Player-hosted dungeons, read the Events section.
//FIELDS_DUNGEONS_&_LOST_GROUNDS
Fields & Dungeons are the result of the combination of the three area keywords. Their main difference is that Fields are set out in wide, open places such as a meadow, city, grasslands, etc... Dungeons, however, are enclosed underground or inside a dungeon-like building/structure and act as mazes where the players may easily become lost. Both areas have beast statues (also referred to as Gott Statue or Folset Statue) after clearing through them to the end, which contain the prizes for beating the area. Just like the root towns, in .hack//Infinity, a character's level does not prohibit the character from gating into fields that are higher-leveled than the character. You may go into any server field you wish to go to, but take heed that you are likely not to survive for long if you go to a field ten times your level!
In .hack//Infinity, once you 'gate in' into a field/dungeon and decide you have finished your thread, you post in Maintenance to notify an Admin. Your adventure will then be properly archived in the Thread Database board.
LOST GROUNDS
Lost grounds are fields or dungeons that begin with the first two keywords "Hidden" and "Forbidden". These fields are considered as special within "The World" by its creator and often hold secrets that lead to "The World"s creation or plot events! These can only be created by an Admin.

1. Choose a combination of three keywords, one from the 1st words, one from the 2nd words, and one from the 3rd words, to be used in that order. Make sure the words match the area you have in mind in some way. (ie. Don't use the words Smiling Dancing Puppy for a creepy dark forest.)
2. Your keyword combination will be the topic title of your thread, along with the symbol of the server to the left of the title.
Symbol for Delta server fields: Δ
Symbol for Theta server fields: Θ
Symbol for Phi server fields: Φ
3. Next up is describing your area. The first post of your thread should ONLY contain your area’s description. The roleplaying actually begins from your second post onward. The description must be justified and may be as small as three sentences, but no larger than a brief paragraph. It is highly recommended that you put up a picture above the description of what your intended area should look like, as it makes visualizing it a lot easier for others. (No real-life pictures. This is an anime fantasy/steampunk setting, so the picture should match with the theme somehow.)
4. You must specify at the beginning of your description what type of area it is: Field or Dungeon?
5. That’s it! Post away.
