Folset...?
Though he still wasn't as well-versed in R:2's lore and mythology as he probably should've been, Vance brushed up enough on it to know that he was the god depicted by what players colloquially referred to as the Beast Statue, a feature in almost every standard Area in the game. That begged the question — what was Resin so angry over him? Did he have something to do with her race's backstory? If his suspicions about the Lyorn were wrong, then did that mean she was acting out that fury for the sake of roleplay? He looked up from his UI and opened his mouth, about to ask Mouse for a translation, before Resin darted further into the ship without warning. Thrown off-kilter by Resin's unpredictable actions, he was about to give chase alongside Mouse before a brief ping that only he could hear resounded from his headset, alerting him of a Flash Mail and causing him to stop dead in his tracks while Mouse continued to pursue the feral Elf Beast.
"Tch... shit."
The contents of the most recent one prompted him to curse under his breath. It was Douken with an update, and apparently, Resin's player wasn't answering her phone. He'd need a bit more time to check up on her personally. On one hand, that still left open the possibility that she was simply letting herself get too immersed in her role. However, he didn't like that his suspicions just gained another layer of credibility. A sigh left his lips as he put on his Manyleague Boots, intending to catch up to the Runechemist and warn her to expect the worst. Clinging tightly onto his sleeve as he ran was Myfanwy, panicking and slightly winded from his doubled movement speed, as spilled water from her jar left a trail in his wake. It wasn't until the two players were in his sights again that he slowed his pace down to normal, matching his pace with Mouse so he could speak with her.
"So. Resin's player isn't answering her phone. This could mean any number of things, so I'm waiting for another update before I jump the gun. But safe to say, this is far from normal behavior for her, so we should be careful until we know what's going on. Anyway... she mentioned Folset, right? You think she might be heading to the Beast Statue, if there even is one here? What do you think we should do?"
As he waited for a response, his gaze caught sight of the desert sun seeping through a dilapidated part of the hull, briefly shifting to the sprinting Resin before returning to the sky. If he tapped into his nascent powers right here, while there was still a visible sky that could bring forth lightning, then outmaneuvering Resin would be easy. However, there were a lot of things to consider as well, including the safety of both Resin and Mouse, if he were to unleash them inside the ship. No... for now, they'd be the last resort... unless the Lyorn forces his hand.
Instead, he called out to Resin once more, hoping to illicit an out-of-character response and still clinging to the hope that she was merely method acting. "Resin, stop this already! The act is going a little too far, don't you think? You're having me ask Douken to call you on your cell and do a damn welfare check!"
