As Resin talks with 11H about his behavior towards her, Mouse is glancing at the UI. This Momohiki seems to count as a player after all, same as them. There's a moment where she notices the gears in Resin's head turning, too, but they can discuss this later. As long as he wasn't popping out and trying to PK them- Not that he could, his level was far too low. However.. Something that was itching at Mouse's brain was
how the field had gotten to this state and
how Momohiki was able to join the party even though it was full. If a player is capable of doing that, they are also capable of manipulating their level and making it appear differently to others.
If that was the case..
Hearing her name causes Mouse to focus back in on the conversation. There's obvious tension in the air between her two party mates, but the runechemist simply claps her hands together.
"Right, it's good to remember The World is a massive place filled with all kinds of different people and personalities. Let's do our best to work together. When investigating rumors, it's good to have people who all think differently because we each see things the other doesn't always. On that note-" She looks towards Eachann.
"Resin's Ribika poses enough intrigue for me, personally, to want to take the left corridor. Also, we can walk and talk." She begins to move forward and also decides to keep her thoughts about Momohiki to herself for now so that 11H and Resin can talk if they wanted.
Whenever the players proceed down the left corridor, the wall of fog clears to reveal a long hallway with many doors. All of these doors are boarded and inaccessible. If a player tries to open any of these boarded off doors, they will hear a static sound that slowly grows louder and louder until it's almost unbearable. Mouse, however, seems to show little interest in them. Occasionally, she glances at the paintings that line the walls and the candelabras as they light each time the party advances down the hallway, but whatever they are looking for isn't in any of these doors.
The meowing sound is further ahead. The corridor opens up into a massive dining room. It's up-kept as much as it can be, but there are still cobwebs and many surfaces covered in dust. Even the great dining table is only cleaned up enough for three spots, the rest of the table has a visible layer of dust on it as well as multiple chairs missing. A massive fireplace at the end of the room opposite from where they entered lights immediately once they step in, roaring to life with the same violet colored flames all other light sources in this mansion seem to have.Massive windows sit on each side of the fireplace, the long curtains fly open and hook themselves in the holding rods at their sides. The massive room is instantly filled with light from the full moon outside. Players can now see along the walls of the room are the chairs missing from the table, broken in various pieces along with other furniture. It almost looks as if there was either a massive struggle at some point or some kind of inside windstorm had swept all this debris to the walls of the room. The meowing has stopped.Stepping closer to the table, Mouse can see there are three silver platters covered with tops. She glances up towards her party members before hesitantly reaching a hand out as if to open one, but a sudden hissing sound instantly stops her reach, causing her to back away towards wherever her party has ended up in the room. Slowly, a ghostly, purple figure starts to appear on the table, a little paw placed over the dish Mouse was about to unveil.
If players try and interact with any of these platters, they will find they cannot remove the lid, as if an invisible force is holding them all shut. Lord Meowcifer the IncorrigibleFoolish girl, do not simply reach for a dinner you were not invited to. Though, if it's answers this trio is looking for, I might be inclined to enlighten you...
The pudgy little cat's tail flicks to the left and right as its empty eyes watch the players closely. Mouse looks back towards her party mates with an eyebrow raised. Meanwhile, there's a piano in this room as well. It's blocking the entryway to the kitchen, as if it was pushed there during whatever mystery struggle happened here at one time, but is surprisingly not in any disrepair. Much like the one from the entryway, it's in pristine condition and well maintained. It also begins
playing on its own, like the other.
