[ GATE IN ]Mouse had, of course, exchanged member addresses with Velten to quickly send the mysterious girl a party invite. In a way, going to this place settled a lot of Mouse's anxieties. Opening her eyes to the moss growing over old stone, light gently accenting the stone woman within the ruin's center- She wished only she could breathe in the scent of this place. What a blessing when nature reclaimed what was built by man. Her and Burgundy bonded here long ago, before everything happened. They spoke about a rumor of the statue being alive, how funny. Stepping forward along the stone path, she held her gaze towards the statue who would not return it.
A soft smile, though her eyes were a bit sad. Rumors weren't as whimsical as they once were, now were they? Taking a deep breath, five seconds to level her mind, and five more to settle her heart, she exhaled gently. No distractions, no mood swings, no intrusive thinking. In this moment, she sought comfort from the vines that trailed between the cracks in the stone. The light that reflected from the shallow water pooled on the ground, yet left the path untouched.
And even
her. She would always find comfort in the stone woman that loomed over any players that entered. Yes, she was sure of it- This was the perfect place to talk. She would hope that Burgundy would be put at ease, as well. This was a special place for them, after all. Though she expected her time alone would be brief as they had all gated in together, Mouse still jumped slightly as the sound of the gate briefly interrupted the
soft humming that quietly echoed about the walls of this place.
Looking over her shoulder with that same smile that had been offered to the statue, Mouse motioned for Burgundy and Velten to head towards the statue's base with her.
"I-I hope this place is alright for you, Velten. It's special for the both of us." She would wait for a moment before slowly walking forward.
"On days where I felt I would lose my mind, I enjoyed coming here. It was calming.. Ah," Shaking her head, Mouse's smile fell just a tad.
"Of course, I still find it so. Just not in the same way. Sometimes, the fires set in our minds become harder to quench- For one reason or another. It's life." The last part came across as a peaceful acceptance rather than a blunt conclusion.
For now, she wouldn't mention that Burgundy and herself met here occasionally with another friend to talk about matters pertaining to The World. Though, she did feel compelled to trust the girl. Typically, she found such things harder these days- But no such intrusive thoughts interrupted her own in Velten's presence. It was nice. Quiet. How was Burgundy feeling about all this? Was it a similar feeling? She couldn't be sure.
