The groaning of old wood echoed through the cavern, speaking over the waves that lapped its sides and the cavern walls. A ship whose hull defied the size from its shell. And yet, there was no interest to explore any of it. Instead, Resin crawled her way up the mast to where the sail rested pulled up, eyes forward, looking at the moon that shown through the entrance. Well, for Lynn, it was more her eyes rested at the hot bar, glancing at the string of icons mapped out for her special attacks and fancy flurries, but there was one that rested on the bar that gave her worry.
Awaken.
On the tin, it seemed simple: Give the others basically a useless status so she can gain a benefit from it. However, the last time she used it, something went... wrong. After she struck the key, she found herself passing out, only to later be woken up by Jake from an emergency call (guess she was lucky she was with someone who knew them both), but what that, exactly? Her head still felt foggy from it all, hearing a strange voice echo like she was in a dream, and a smell... For some reason, a thought of a particular smell was stuck in her mind, even after waking up and taking time away from the game.
Her legs curled up to her chest before wrapping her arms around them, head resting on her knees as she stared at moon once more. There was a part of her, wanting to get answers as to what happened, but who could she ask... and who would even believe her? [The World] is a game, and while it did use some fancy tools, simulated smell certainly wasn't one of those things, and who would even believe her saying she passed out after pushing a single button?
Her eyes focused on the icon once more, Lynn's finger reaching for the key, as if to try and use it. To see if it happened again. And yet, she couldn't dare. What happened that day had certainly shook her enough that she actually started to feel scared on using her own skills. Her head dropped into her knees, feeling herself in a strange fright of tears ready to come out as she muttered, "What is happening?"
