hat peaceful ease that this quest seemed to carry, having been without much in the form of actual, physical combat, had dissipated as soon as Ingine's non-presence was noted by the only other cat in their trio of outsiders. In response, Gorre's head turned as wide of an arc as it could, scanning the feline Dol Dona once again. It was worrying, but there was something about the attitude that he'd exhibited thus far that made the possibility of the Tyrant Blade meandering off on his own an actual likelihood.
"I do worry that we shall attract -too much- attention from the locals. The consequences of being found out as not being a part of their society have yet to be determined." Gorre padded along close behind Vance, not one to add his voice when it wasn't necessary, conversation or otherwise. But, he'd make up for it with the usage of his ever-watchful eye. Maybe cat-watching would also help him adapt to the scenarios that might follow, assuming further interaction was going to be necessary. And assume he did.
His assumptions were proven true very quickly, finally catching sight of Ingine... as well as another cat.
Similar to how he'd approached the stranger that he'd engaged with, the AI-cat approached with caution, tailing them while trying to make as little noise as he could upon paws unused to being paws. For the most part, he was successful, his mimicry of a feline gait appearing more and more natural as he practiced. And it was because of this that he likely blended with the rest of the street as a pair of armed cats strode even closer behind the two stepping into the alley.
"Ah... there are no means of preventing something of this sort here, or the word of law in this place is rather weak." Squinting at the trio, he frowned as much as a cat could. He was way out of his league in terms of strength, these assailants so strong that anything he could throw at them outside of altering their data would be ineffective. Still, he had to try for Ingine's sake.
"Very well."Using Vance's onslaught as a veil, Gorre lowered his body into a pouncing position, a glowing, chromatic blade forming between hsi teeth and along his tail each. Intent on isolating, or at least distracting, the greatest threat if left alone, he sped forward, joining with the flurry of blades as a quartet of after-images that cut through the air itself. Who knew if it would cut their their furry hides as well, but whatever the case, the Twin Blade reappeared at the other end of the alleyway, as if to trap the enemy between himself and the Crusader.
