[ Gate In ]
Golden rings descended Mouse's form as she arrived. Normally, she would have stared in awe of such a place. Instead, she sighed softly and stepped away from the gate without hesitation into the room itself. Immediately, she knelt down to pick up an overly large stack of books and moved to the nearest shelf to start putting them away.
"Wish I could have somehow got here sooner!" Her soft voice strained with stress as she quickly put the books back into their rightful homes.
"The bookshelves are literally right here, why leave them all over the place..? I should have known they wouldn't stay put away after I left here last time..!" After those were put away, she moved to the next manageable stack. She'd found this place messing around with 'special' keywords. The books here actually had text in them and some of them were helpful for spell ideas for casters, both wavemasters and harvest clerics.
She didn't move so quickly that the books weren't right side up, the work she did was nice and neat for the most part. After all, she wanted to be respectful to whoever the owner of this residence was. Even if it seemed they could care less about the mess. It was funny, all the plants were well taken care of. Everything seemed well dusted and clean for the most part. Yet here all the reading material lay, in different areas throughout this beautiful building.
As she finished the rest of the stack, Mouse gazed hopelessly up at the piles of books that towered well over her height and most other inhabitants in The World. It was then that the sinking feeling hit her. Not only was there no way she could finish cleaning this place up in time for Velten's arrival, she would also be completely alone talking to her. She would be here any minute now..! Quickly, Lily typed out a flash mail. Burgundy was unavailable, but she knew the exact person to contact. Not only someone who she loved and trusted, but someone who would also be kind and courteous to Velten. In fact, it seemed a grand idea to introduce the two. Someone like Gorre would be the perfect person for Velten to know, if she didn't already.
Quickly returning back to her task, she decided to skip the mega huge stack of books for now and just go for what she could reach. Of course she thought things such as, 'Hey Lily, why do we care about this? Velten knows that keywords lead to random places and there's no way you have control over how tidy a place looks' and 'Hey girl, maybe we should think about what exactly we want to say instead of focusing on this?' Shaking her head the runechemist groaned softly as she put the last few books from the stack she had been balancing in her arms away. Her hand remained pressed onto the last book she'd slid into the shelf, the other draping down to her side.
What was she supposed to say? 'Bestie, Cernunnos is in a bad way and I think you should go see him?' 'Velten, I know I almost got killed by this man in front of you- but I really think you should cast your personal safety and comfort aside and go see him, whatcha think?' The hand by her side made a soft fist and reared back as if she would strike the bookshelf, but she merely let her knuckles graze the wood and remain there as the growing stress she was feeling caused her heart rate to pick up.
She didn't have to look at her Anger Gauge. She already knew. Busying herself with menial tasks usually did settle her mood, but the stress over talking to a girl she hadn't seen since she lost her consciousness after being attacked by Cernunnos was just a little too much to contain by putting away a few books. Having found her in Mac Anu was hardly enough of a buffer between then and now. The stress turning into mild irritation was a reminder on why it would be convenient for the girl to go back to Cerby, or whatever it was she called him- but..
Mouse quietly collected herself and continued tidying up, putting books away and rolling up scrolls as she came across them. Velten, no- Sakura, was someone's daughter, someone's sister. She'd shown kindness to Burgundy and herself, and she'd warned Ornery to stay away from Cernunnos. She wasn't a quest NPC, she was someone who was loved and treasured. At the end of the day, if it was unsafe for Sakura to visit the God of Death again, and she would have to remain this way.. Then so be it. Either way, she wouldn't know until talking with her. She could only hope Gorre would show up before she did.
