The lights went dark on stage as the prop staff made their rush in, working fast to remove the props needed from the last act to the ones for the next. Hifumi gave Suzuka one last pat on the back before she went to her spot with Ayaka taking her seat in the stage's shadow, readied at the drums, and finally Suzuka herself getting ready to do so as well... until she heard the last performer's comment, "Now then, next on stage is going to be a new star in our group, so I want you to be extra forgiving on her stumbles," which took her to the front where the audience sat in wait.
"Hey, hey, hey! There is no need for that!" Su quickly exclaimed, knowing full well her argument would be picked up, the two almost getting ready to turn it into a skit as the hands in back got things moving. "I get it, doing such a thing in front of so many, I can feel my heart about to burst from my chest! HOWEVER, that does NOT give you the chance to tease me and have them hold back. We are here to entertain, and give smiles to all those watching, and as much as my nerves are going, my excitement is even greater!"
"Well, well. The newbie certainly has quite the bark," she chuckled as the hands gave the sign to be good to go. "I guess now is time to show them your bite. NOW THEN, LET'S GIVE IT UP FOR NAMATAME SUZUKAAAA!" The roar of applause echoed the stage floor as she took her steps back, spotlights on her
as the guitar started going on its opening rift, building up ambience with a drumroll soon to follow. In a moment, the lights flooded the stage, revealing the pair, doing a bit of a swayed bob as Ayaka played her strings, both of them getting into the beat until, after a quiet breath, Sukuza roared into the mic with, "AaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!"
"Woah woah woah woahhhaoohhh!
Woah woah woah Wwwaaoohhaahh woah woah WOAH waaooaahhh!
Woah woah woah woahhhaoohhh!
Woah woah woah Wwwaaoohhaahh woah woah WOAH waaooaahhh!" echoed from the pair as as they were moving into the rhythm of it. The crowd began to vanish from Suzuka's eyes as she began to step forward.
"<'There ought to be lives that only exist to be trampled on
Without shouting for help.' I won't acknowledge such ideas!
If we are destined to meet with sorrow
After we surpass the first, I will believe there is no god.>"
Her tone and feel was more akin to a rock song, with dance moves sparse and letting her movements add into the meaning of the words, and Hifumi's voice echoing in the back as her fingers danced along the strings, before the two's voices melded as one.
"<Even a sudden ray of light feels like a forceful revelation.
I began to believe in humans, youkai, and gods without losing hope.>"
It was then, as Suzuka began to hold her last note did Hifumi took over in the form of a chant to start the chorus.
"Gate gate paragate, parasamgate, dodhi svaha.
Gate gate paragate, parasamgate, dodhi svaha.
Gate gate paragate, parasamgate, dodhi svaha.
Gate gate paragate, parasamgate, dodhi svaha." with Sukuza taking over at the end with a, "One, Two, Three, GO!" not being afraid to let her hand count it down in the air with the last word swinging to the earth before the two joined together.
"<Shout Out!!! The feelings you can't put into words.
So that they'll reach to the sky, the depths, and the universe.> Gate! Gate!
Paragate! <We go with maximum volume.
We wreck it and> shout it out loooooud!"
She knew the song could be rough on her throat, but with the energy flowing through her, it was hardly an after-thought as they went to the second motion where Su took up the main lines and Ayaka echoed the back statements.
"<Kind people are kinder than anyone else (They're always kind),
But that's not because they love humans. (No one believes that)>" Then their voices once again joined together.
"<It's because they decided they love anyone ever.
Mean people are meaner than anyone else (They're meaner than anyone else)
But that's not because they hate humans. (I want to believe someone)
Its because they decided to not leave anyone behind.>"
The tone grew softer again with the melody softening up.
"<We let go of our feelings as soon as we put them to words,
So I want to convey my overflowing passion in the form of sound.>"
The motions of the chorus began to stir up again, the movements of the backstage not even a care at the moment. After all, their passions were driving them forward.
"<Shout out!!! Don't put your feelings into words.
So that they'll break your head and reach the universe.> SHOUT IT OUT LOUD!!!
<Even if you shed tears, don't kill your voice. Here we go!!
We wreck it and> shout it out loooooud."
The tone slowed down as it felt like the entire auditorium started to fill with a chanting. In fact, it was as the curtains rose all around them, revealing the other performers all standing by, a blissful face on each one as they all chanted.
"<Before your heart stops, before your voice breaks off, before you disappear, shout out, 'I'm here!'>"
Suzuka was thrown off, losing where she was as her jaw went agape, looking around as the others added their own voice to the mix.
"<If you're crying by yourself, call us. We can sing together. We'll even wipe your tears.>"
Was... was this planned from the very start? To hide this motion even from their plans. A quick look to Ayaka, who she expected to be singing this portion, only to get back a knowing smile. Those cheeky...
"<Because everyone is lonely, because humans are lonely, We get involved with others.
Because we're desolate, our souls attract each other and become one big soul.
Each and every one is a part of a god.>"
The air hung quiet as Suzuka looked around, a soft smile lining her face before pushing a tear away. She couldn't let them keep waiting, right?
"<If we gather the solitude scattered across the night sky, it'll become a lovely light of salvation!>"
It was then the instruments and lights went to full action, with everyone seeing to echo the same phrase when it came up.
"SHOUT IT OUT!!! <Because we're weak and fragile, we scream out until we break.>
"Shout it out!! (It out!) Shout it out!! (It out!) Shout it out!! (It out!) Shout it OUT LOUD!!!" The entire stage seemed to evoke life at the final shout of the line, containing it on a good handful of times, but it did not take long for the crowd to shout it with them, with the forth time holding the final stance before the crowd roared to applause, before finally the curtains began to fall.
