//LOOT SYSTEM
There are several methods to acquire loot in .hack//Infinity:
1. Quests
2. Events run by the staff
3. Purchases from our Shop
4. On your own through freeform exploration and adventuring.
// Consumables
While exploring an Area, common consumables may occasionally be found as enemy drops or in chests scattered about the field. These items may either be used up at some point during the run, or they may be saved to be added to the players' inventories along with the Area Reward.
The Area Reward is acquired by the party once they complete its Objective, which can be anything from defeating a Field Boss to reaching the end of a dungeon. The treasure's contents and how their divided are also determined by the players, with some restrictions.
// Area Rewards (that chest at the end of the dungeon)
The following guidelines are what can and cannot be used as an Area's main treasure:
1. A handful of common consumables may be among the chest's contents. No unique or Quest Shop-only consumables may be earned in this fashion.
2. A chest may contain a single weapon no higher than the current level of the player intending to use it. No unique, gameplay-altering effects or weapon attributes (elements or status effects) may be pre-applied to them.
3. End chests may contain wearable equipment with a number of buffs depending on the equipment's level (see next section).
4. No extra GP, Custom Skill/Spell books, Pets, or other character goods such as wings may be used as loot. These are normally only to be purchased from the shop, not gained.
// Equipment Buffs
End chest equipment can carry the following numbers of buffs depending on the equipment's level. Higher level weapons and armors will generally have more benefits attached. Keep in mind, however, that they are randomized. While an equip may contain several types of benefits at once, it is rare for a single piece of equipment to have the maximum of all possible additions.
