PERMANENT FILE
NAME: SUGANO, SOUICHI
AGE: 26
GENDER: MALE
SEXUALITY: HETEROSEXUAL
OCCUPATION: CYBERSECRUITY SPECIALIST
NATIONALITY: JAPANESE
PERMANENT RESIDENCE: TOKYO, JAPAN
FACE CLAIM: TEARS OF THEMIS, minase natsuhiko, sugano souichi
An R:1 vetaran who was notorious hacker during the first iteration of [The World]. He was referred to as the "The Fool" for his tendency to go overboard with his various antics as a teenager. His activities ranged from DDOS attacks to win a duel all the way to locking Chaos Gates in high-leveled dungeons so that the guilds that pissed him off couldn't power level.
While he sometimes engaged in the practice of PKing, it wasn't something Souichi thought much off nor was it something he actively sought. The impetus of his actions were solely based on the teenager's desire for chaos and fun. The rigid school system of Japan and his harsh homelife led him to explore his more anarchistic side online, to the detriment of many players. A preteen that could code like a cyberterrorist was somebody nobody really wanted to mess with. The Pluto's Kiss incident being a clear indication of that.
8 years of his young life was dedicated solely to The World. Even his multiple month long bans were used to conceptualize new builds and coding new parts of the rumored slum he so often visited. He was obsessed with The World, and his entire middle school and high school life was centered around it. He was part of the "go-home club", which he was never tardy for.
But after the fire that destroyed most of The World's game data in 2015, the then 18 year old Souichi begrudgingly ceased playing The World, despite the new version that had dropped. Instead, he focused on his studies and his social life, mostly due to the fact that he was living away from home for the first time.
In the years that followed, he was picked up as a Cybersecurity Specialist in one of the bigger software companies in Tokyo. His days were spent developing software that prevented people like him from taking advantage of the different vulnerabilities in various computer-operated devices. Of course, that just allowed him to install loopholes that only he knew.
So began his unhappy and overworked life as a Japanese office worker.
His re-entry into The World:Fusion was simply based on some random prompting from his long-time best friend Tooru. His quiet return into the game has led him to rediscover what truly made him happy, and the spirit of what truly got him into coding in the first place. There would be chaos, and there would be disorder. And somewhere in the middle, he would finally discover the secret to the perfect work-life balance.

PERSONALITY TRAITS

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
- Souichi currently lives in a two bedroom apartment in Tokyo by himself. He often complains about his office job, despite the high-paying salary, and is known to be very cheap. He sustains himself through a combination of ramen and ready-to-eat meals from the convenience store across the street.
- He often doesn't talk about his family, and his relationship with his parents and siblings is a touchy subject.
- Although well-versed in various computer languages such as JavaScript, C#, and Python, Souichi is very adamant about his dislike for fiction and non-fiction novels. He prefers reading manga and western comics as opposed to heavier forms of reading. His go-to arguement for his behavior is because he spends an inordinate amount of time reading complex code in the first place, so reading anything else that's not easy to understand will make his brain explode.
- While extremely paranoid about his own cybersecurity and often goes to idiotic lengths to ensure his privacy, Souichi is notoriously arrogant about his abilities as a hacker. He often brags about his exploits openly to his friends and when asked about the damning repercussions of his actions, he usually answers with, "they'll have to catch me first."
- As skewed as his moral compass is, Souichi doesn't regard himself as an evil person. He is, in his eyes, the paragon of what human being should be. Neither good nor bad, just a soul that is bound by the dimensions of time and space. He believes that actions have consequences, and that the laws written by man are not infallible. However, he does not go out of his way to commit crime just because he can. He simply believes in living comfortably, and living in a manner of his own choosing. His entire thought process could all in all summarized by his latest psychiatric evaluation in the office, "lazy, but driven".
