When Nao noticed another person who appeared out of place waving to him, he offered them a smile and an amiable wave in return. His eyes followed after this person who was probably his unfamiliar coworker for a moment, before he got distracted by the chatter nearby.
And oh, what chatter it was!
He couldn't catch everything the scientists were saying, but the tidbits he did hear were quite intriguing, to say the least. The Black Box, learning speed, sensory settings... presumably, this was research related to letting players sense things within The World. The possibility made something in his stomach twist, and Nao frowned before getting his expression under control.
Whatever his personal feelings on the wisdom of this research, or his ponderings on the possible purposes of it, one thing was clear enough. Whatever this "Black Box" the scientists had been talking about was, it was producing results at a rate it shouldn't have been, judging by their apparent confusion.
Shaking himself out of his thoughts, he looked up hastily to see if everyone else had already arrived while he'd been out of it. However, it looked like Hiro had still not made his appearance - and neither had Kenta, for that matter.
Still, Nao supposed he had better get going before his lingering would make him look more suspicious than merely curious. As much as the door he'd spied with Rukishi Hiro's nameplate tempted him, he highly doubted anyone would look kindly upon him trying to see if it was locked (and it probably was). Though it was nice to know where it was---no, wait, what was he thinking? There was simply no way he'd be trying to break in! That'd be stupid on so many different levels!
That in mind, shoving the thoughts of potential crime out of his mind, he headed over to the conference room and started settling down for whatever talk would be happening. He noticed that Graham had already connected remotely, and offered a polite wave to him, and once more to the other, as-of-yet-unknown fellow gamemaster.
"Hello, hello~. Indeed, it is rather fascinating. It's a shame we're only here for this conference, but hopefully we will be able to make a longer visit to this floor, one of these days."
What is in those capsules, anyway?
Even though Nao was nowhere near stealthy enough to have a closer look, he was really dying to know.
