Type: Root TownHidden between two mountains and circled by a boundary of mist, lies a mysterious village said to be the home of [The World]'s only Spirit Master. No one can remember what this village used to be called, only that every year it appears for a few days like a mirage during the peak of summer, its rooftops ablaze with celebratory decorations and fireworks, and then vanishes without a trace. There are no barriers to entering the village and upon walking amidst its lively villagers, you would think this is just another old town in the midst of a summer festival. But strange and fantastical sightings abound in this place. Some of the villagers don't appear to be quite human, or beast, or anything in between! Some of them melt into shadows, or are flying through the air with no wings. But do come in and join in the festival joy. Grab yourself a pretty kimono. Browse the many food stalls. Play a game of fish. Just remember that in this village...nothing is as it seems..
Yokai Village subareas:- The Lucky Cat [ A grand-looking inn several stories high, built right next to the main plaza of the village. Most foreigners will come stay here for the duration of the summer festival. Players who drink their famous [Spirit Sake] will be debuffed with [Drunk] for 3 hours, becoming dizzy and loosing all coordination with their avatar.]
- Myulin Plaza [Named after the Harvest Goddess that their ancestors worshipped till this day, the plaza is jam-packed with food and mini-game stalls, npc shops, and the costume shop where you can dress up your character.]
- Half-Moon Forest [ A forest that circles the perimeter of the village. It is the entrance to the mountain where two clans of yokai live and have celebrations of their own. One of the clans is friendly to the humans, but the other one is not afraid to play deadly pranks on them. Be careful who you interact with]
- Abandoned Shrine [ An abandoned shrine in the outskirts of town, pasted all over with warding talismans, and a lone Tori to watch over it. Tall weeds and forest plants shroud the place.]
- Spirit Temple [ A large, two-story temple built on a cliff overlooking the village. It is said to be home to Natsume, the village's Spirit Master. It's pretty rare to find him here nowadays.]
