The quest lady in mac anu hit me in the head with some kind of ice thingy because I walked away before she could finish giving me details about a quest, but that's the only interaction I've had with a npc and I didn't find that very hot at all!!!!!

there are no doubt people who are thirsty about npcs in R:Fusion and I know that because someone I personally know in meatspace sells doujins. and oh boy do they sell. oh man. so I have some data on npc popularity already and I wish I didn't.

I mean I don't find npcs hot. but if we're going off of sheer degen potential, it's One's Own Doppel From The Strange Sightings Quest. selfcest is best put your mirror to the test etc etc

anyway my point is twofold:

1: CC Corp is missing out on a huge market of no lifers who would want to be able to dating sim it up with random city NPCs, especially if the NPCs are catgirls, and

2: if they ever implement NPC marriage and ingame children (with npcs or npc children with other players) I'm going to uninstall the game and sell my FMD

honestly, New Fort Ouph is making me mighty salty that CC Corp hasn't implemented a playable elf race. like, I get it. lore and all. but if y'all have the pointy eared boys modeled, let me play one. every day, my sodium levels grow ever higher. bet they're gonna sell it as dlc or something

Oh, this BBS has been plenty of things, but I don't recall this place ever making the descent into openly talking about whatever inappropriate thoughts we may or may not have toward NPCs that will never love us back. =P

Honestly, if CC Corp were to try any sort of NPC affection mechanic, it would probably consist of players grinding and gifting out the same favorites repeatedly, and the most romantic things get would be implicit. Most MMOs go that route. Galactic Conflicts: The Bygone Commonwealth, this game is not. lol

As far as "sexy" mods go... well, I've seen 'em. I don't use 'em, nor will advertise, but I do know they exist. I'm surprised CC Corp hasn't cracked down on them, yet. Sooner or later, someone is going to do something stupid with them, like publicly advertise some shady player-hosted events using those unofficial assets on a billboard or something. XD

Mine was very rude and ugly, I wouldn't even have given her a lil smooch on the cheek. >:-( I found no pleasure in getting my butt almost kicked by myself, but it's a big world full of interesting and diverse people.

@ Noblesse, I WANT TO GO TO A VAMPIRE CASTLE. It's too bad the rumored vampire you are talking about is scrapped, but maybe we can find another pretty vampire lord! Or even an 'ugly' vampire lord. Or even just a vampire who is not a lord!

@ finiraldi: funny you say that re: NPC affection mechanics; I actually have a bit of a Thing, a Skill of the Unusual Variety, if you will, that allows me to build relationships with NPCs. platonically (I hope). so either they do have some sort of inbuilt tracker, or the AI in R:Fusion is advanced enough that it just kind of... allows for complex dynamic interpersonal relationships between NPCs and players.

also, not only have I seen sexy mods, I have actually MADE a couple. for personal entertainment. I will not disclose which ones they were, seeing as I released them under a pseudonym to begin with... but rest assured that I don't use any myself. w

I've considered hiding code in my plugins that would detect some of the more common sexy mods and replace any added sexy noises with Grunty noises and circa-R:1 Grunty Food callouts but I'm not that sadistic. it'd probably make people throw their headsets.

or awaken something new within them. you never know. w

total conversion mods are a scam, no one knows enough about The World to actually do that. also avoid ANY mods that claim to give you an edge in the game by giving you free stuff because installing any of those is as good as bending over and invitingly spreading your cheeks for a big fat girthy malware payload. uhhhhh I like some of the shader mods, though. makes for nice screenies

I haven't actually seen my doppel yet, I'm gonna head to do that quest soon. I picked the dumbest area to do it in so it's not going to be very sexy, though. alas. I should have shopped around more. perhaps I could have had a romantic double date with me, my B O Y F R I E N D (whose identity is conveniently redacted), our copies, and mutually assured destruction.

we can totally go to a vampire castle, though. pspspsps CC Corp, when you're done sorting all the bugs out, I want a Halloween event with vampires in it. let me have decorative fangs and a cape and a pair of leather pants suspiciously tight around the crotch area. and the butt area. my character model has a pretty nice ass (I WORKED for that ass, thank you) and I desperately need to show it off.

I wonder if having a nice ass is a NPC relationship booster. I'll have to go use that skill and see. w
