[Gate in]

He had looked over the boards stumbling into the urgent quest one, he guessed that urgent quests were almost like a chain of quests that gave a good reward at the end. It had taken a while but he found one that took his liking as it was loosely based on folklore of his nation. It also beat kicking small and poor innocent monsters. He took note of what were essentially squiggles to him and headed to the chaos gate to find the corresponding ones in the hopes to get into the right zone. It had only taken him three attempts but he was getting used to that. It was then he heard yelling in his general direction, he paused for a second and pointed to himself "Me?" he enquired he was completely caught off-guard "YES YOU GET YOUR ŌZATŌ ASS IN MY KITCHEN, YOU'RE GONNA STAY AND WORK. The rest of your group better turn up soon!" he yelled.

Advent bowed to the demand and walked toward the kitchen 'Well, that was new... I never thought of myself like that.' he said thinking back to the Edo period when the Zatō were protected by the Shogunate. He guessed back then if he had been born into an impoverished family he would have been one of them. He tried not to think about such things too much as it did no one any good. He turned his head from one side to the other looking as if he was lost "ŌZATŌ!" he heard the cook yell once more "I'm sorry! I'm blind. I'm an entertainer." he said quickly hearing the cook grumbling about good help being hard to find before turning him in the general direction and telling him to move forward. That seemed simple enough.

He then heard some speaking "Hello both, I guess we all decided to do this." At least with others, it would make light work, he was still using a voice modifier so it was hard to tell his nationality or even age. He was listening to the other oni around that were talking about the ritual sake and the brews that were needed. The love letters were out of the question as the visual alphabet was nothing more than messy squiggles to him. He thought about it for a moment and tried to find out what his oni persona could actually do because it wasn't climbing or running after anything "ARE YOU GOING TO DO ANYTHING USEFUL?" the cook yelled "Yes, I'm limited is all due to well..." he pointed to his eyes only for it to be met with grumbling, he had to admit it wasn't exactly what he wanted due to his real-life situation but it was what it was.

He moved towards the red oni after picking up some sort of salt in his eyes and sat beside them "I need you to cry." he said simply his legs swinging back and forward from his position "I don't cry!" he was met with "I see... well I don't but you get the point." he said almost sounding defeated, it was at that point he threw the salt substance into the oni's eyes making him cry out in pain as the oni rubbed his eyes watered and tears started to fall. "Why the hell would you do that?!" he would call out "It is needed for the ritual sake for our lord, does it not make you feel special to be the one chosen for such a glorious task? You can even brag to your friends... if you have any..." he said gathering the tear items as they fell. He was sure that he was going to get hit but after hearing why the oni calmed almost beaming with a kind of pride at what he was doing.

Bellerophon had done a lot of research about the game before he'd gone into it. He'd been studying the previous editions of the game from the sidelines for a while now, but R:Fusion would be the first one he would actually play in a more than casual capacity. Scouring the BBS for information had paid off with the keywords to the Moon Cave, scouring Mac Anu had paid off with rumors of the questline that lay within.

So, obviously, the first thing he did once he'd finally considered himself fully armed and dangerous was go to the special area in question. A talisman stuck to his face had clearly denoted him as a Kirin, and that word had replaced his nametag - he'd already chosen to be a unicorn-adjacent beastman, so he might as well play into it, that's what Bellerophon had decided.

He certainly deserved to be treated as a kirin would, like the top dog of mythological creatures.

Cook wouldn't give him the respect he deserved, though.

"GET YOUR HOOVED LEGS IN THE KITCHEN!" Cook bellowed as soon as he saw Bellerophon wander in. "CLIP-CLOP, YOU LAZY BASTARD, GET ON IT BEFORE I CLUB YOU OVER THE HEAD WITH THIS PAN AND DRAG YOU IN THERE MYSELF!"

"Crikey! Alright, alright, sheesh, god..." Bellerophon lifted his hands in a placating gesture and ran over into the kitchen area, finding it already full of people, disguised the same way he was.

"... Well! It looks like we've got a lot of folks here! Good news for me." He surveyed the area, trying to figure out what he could do. Alright, so - some people being absolutely bloody useless, some people were getting to work. The Flame Brew was being worked on by the guy nametagged Yatsukahagi, Ozato was dealing with the Red Oni Tears, the one wih no visible nametag was looking for bats, the Tanuki was working on Thunder---right! He was a writer! He knew exactly what his job would be!

Bellerophon clapped his hands together and gave everyone a pleasant smile.

"I shall work on the Peach Brew! Please leave the love letters to me. I will pen them momentarily."

Thus, the Kirin got to work after counting people. Five, himself included. Auspicious is his arrival, for four was the number of death...

Raviel had begun to jump and climb to get the bat. Doing all the stuff in real life was bothersome, at least until he built up the stamina and gotten used to moving around with his mocap suit. He was very athletic, so physical work wasn't a problem. It was doing the same things he did at the gym while wearing a harness that, even though extremely light, still restricted his freedom of movement if only for a little bit.

Making sure to take a break or two to avoid sweating or overextending, Raviel finally climbed all the way up to the bat, which was wailing non stop and being generally annoying. He was there for a few minutes and the thing was really inssuferable. The faster he caught the thing the better. He didn't have all day to brew the Moon Brew item they needed to pass the quest. A ping or two on his hud as he contemplated how to go about capturing the critter informed him that more players had joined, filling up the remaining vacant spots. That was good news. More people meant doing things much quicker. Everyone could focus on a single ingredient and get it done without interfereance.

Right then, guess he should figure out how to get the bat and four more so they could all get the quest done. He needed to be quick, if the thing few away to another side of the kitchen he would need to climb down and up again...and the blademaster didn't want to do that.

Just as he was finishing the Thunder Brew, Harusame's sudden presence behind him caused his tail to twitch, mimicking his brief surprise before he grinned politely over his shoulder at the stranger. "Oh, there was a spider on me? Thanks for getting it!" Of course, he knew it was just because they needed the spiders for the Flame Brew, but to him, it was a kind gesture all the same. That being said, he quickly walked towards where Raviel was climbing and jumping around trying to get bats. His arms were held out as if to catch the man should he fall.

"Hey now," Hachi spoke in a playfully chastising tone toward Advent after hearing his 'rich boy' comment. So was the mocap suit just basically an expensive addition someone wore to enhance the VR experience in some way? Scratching his chin while trying to formulate a thought in his empty head, Hachi looked from Advent back up towards Raviel. It seemed like the climber had things under control, it was only a matter of time before he figured out how to capture the bats. If he needed further help, Hachi was sure he'd let them know.

"Oh Ōzatō! You managed to get the red oni tears! Good job! We'll have this done in no time!" The cook slammed a giant wooden spoon against a cast iron pan. "TAAAANUKI! Finishing the Thunder Brew does NOT constitute turning MY kitchen into SOME KIND OF SOCIAL CLUB!" The hair on Hachi's tail bristled as he scampered in circles for a moment before looking around for where the next ingredient- Or any ingredient might be in this mess of a kitchen.

Walking past Bellerophon, he couldn't help but take a little peek at what he was writing. Though, only bits and pieces as he didn't want to invade his privacy too much or displease the cook further. Was.. Was this dude writing a love letter to himself..? And a rice cooker..!? Well, confidence and good food were definitely two amazing things to have. There was no doubt about that. Hachi quickly averted his gaze as he crouched down by a cupboard that was made of a different material than the rest of the wooden ones. It was more stone-like. Opening the door carefully, he could see the cold air rush out in a bundle of fog as he peered within. Inside was a giant square ice cube and lurking behind it were a gaggle of little Snow ChimChims, ripe for the pickings.

Hachi has located the ingredients for the Snow Brew!

Advent continued carefully creating the first of the dew brew he was very much aware that if he failed then he would likely need to make the red oni blind and cry again and where he honestly didn't care he was quite sure the oni would. It took a few moments to complete the first one as he suspected but he managed to do it without having to look for hints or tips that may be on boards by those who had completed this mission. In quick succession, he managed to get the last four done in a fraction of the time. He hadn't bothered dealing with any of the others and moved to put them where they needed to be placed. "IT'S ABOUT TIME ŌZATŌ, IF YOU WENT ANY SLOWER YOU'D BE GOING BACKWARDS!" the chef yelled, he sighed and bowed a little "My lack of sight makes such things difficult, I will be more diligent." he said before standing straight.

'I'm blind not deaf you insufferable son of a toad!' he thought to himself as he thought of what was outstanding, it seemed like there were only two which were the shadow and the cloud brews. Chasing after will-o-wisps didn't seem like a good idea given his impaired nature that would raise too many red flags so he wandered around trying to find the caged ghosts. This was almost like a puzzle in a puzzle as he had to talk to npcs within the kitchen to get the location, if he got the answer wrong then he needed to start back at the first npc. He already knew this one was going to be a pain in the ass as he couldn't read. "Hay, you might want to indicate which yokai you are or the npcs will get suspicious." he whispered in a low voice to the only person who hadn't indicated such as he passed to get to the first npc he himself needed. After that he turned off his mic so he could use sound prompts so he knew what each option said.
