Δ Hidden Calamity’s Moon Cave
On the ground, Talebrook returned Ornery's thumbs-up, watching the Savage player dart around the arena. He probably looked like a flea to the massive Orochi, but they didn't focus too hard on that. Instead, they turned their attention to the boss once more. Just in time to avoid being Flinched, and they tried to mimic one of their teammates' earlier moves in using their staff to dodge the shockwave. It worked, for the most part, though they still took a little bit of damage--compared to the hit it would have done, it was better than nothing. They just had to keep on their toes.
With everyone focusing their attacks on the two remaining heads, Talebrook could only really watch as their remaining health began to tank downward. With the other three being so much higher-level than Orochi, they were dealing far more damage than Talebrook could hope to. But still, they took the time to consider before attacking, only briefly, which of the two heads needed that extra
push to collapse. And then, they used
GiJuk Don to do just that. Even if it wouldn't be an elementally advantageous strike, it would still do better than nothing at all. A rune appeared just below the head's jaw, spinning rapidly in place until several massive spears of wood surged from it, piercing through it and themselves in a display that would surely have been gruesome if the game were designed in such a way.
Luckily for them all, this wasn't a horror game.
Noticing that something seemed... off as they did another cursory sweep of their companions in lieu of paying attention to Orochi's probably-dying-mechanics, they focused their attention on Mouse. He'd never seen her look so... angry. Was it irrational anger at the boss, or had something else happened? She had always seemed so... upbeat, whenever they'd interacted with her. Her health was fine, and no one had gone down; had those runes around her not been a spell and instead been a rare item that had gotten unintentionally used up?
Too far to call to her without drawing potentially unnecessary attention, and too worried that the issue would be exacerbated to send a Flash Mail, they tried to signal
Caduceus to check on her in their stead. He seemed closer to her than them anyway, so if it
was something, she'd probably be more comfortable talking to him instead.[attr="class","tale2-text"][newclass=".tale2-text b"]color:#5279a0; font-weight:bold;[/newclass][newclass=".tale2-text i"]color:#90a6bc; font-weight:italic;[/newclass]
